Petition

Copy_of_Royal_Glam_Leaflet.pngRecent plans have been announced that will downgrade or close our local accident and emergency. This will result in local residents having to travel over an hour to reach their nearest A&E. Lives will be at risk unless we stop this dangerous proposal.

The Labour Welsh Government are responsible for the Welsh NHS, but the First Minister Mark Drakeford has said he is unwilling to step in and save the A&E

There is no reason in the world why the Health Board couldn’t recruit A&E consultants if they wanted to, we need a better RGH not a downgraded one

24 hour A and E at The Royal Glamorgan is vital for our community to get to the other already over stretched hospitals from here is totally out of the question as they are unaccessable in a reasonable time.

Also minor injuries atYsbyty Cwm Rhondda should be open longer and at weekends and bank holidays regardless as this would take an awful lot of pressure of RGH plus it should be a walk in system not appointments only because its hard to get an appointment they send you to RGH then they send you back to YCR and they send you back i know this because it has happened to me. YCR should be more like Ysbty Cwm Cynon. I have had to go there in the past and i was aeen quickly and efficiently as i did not need emergency A and E as YCR said i did.

    So please look into this.

    Thank you
